In the final seminar of the year-long 2021 ESG Certification Program, participants focused on creating a workflow to implement lessons learned from the program and further delved into the elements of reporting.
The ESG Certification Program, the first of its kind in the energy services and technology sector and held in partnership with Envision, a leader in corporate advising and coaching, is designed to provide participants with ESG best practices and practical tips for the current and future environment.
Overall focus of the seminar included understanding and developing the components and data for reporting. Time was spent on themes of governance and business ethics, climate change and HSEQ. Within each of the components of ESG, participants had an opportunity to identify the core elements within their companies and explore what measures could address shortfalls.
With climate reporting potentially becoming mandatory in the U.S. for public companies through the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and increased requirements for transparency across supply chains, it is imperative that Council Member Companies stay abreast of the ever-changing reporting landscape.
Participants regroup for a final best practices sharing session on December 2 that will be aimed to further discuss implementation of new ESG strategies within their companies.
Registration for the 2022 cohort is open and kicks off on March 10.
Members who complete each of the Council’s three signature training programs will be recognized as an Energy Workforce & Technology Council Certified Executive. The designation is designed to elevate professional standards, enhance individual performance, and build knowledge essential to the oil and gas industry.
