Energy Workforce Supports Jones Award Luncheon

Jones Award Luncheon Co-Chairs

The Energy Workforce & Technology Council is proud to support the 2021 Jesse H. Jones Award Luncheon, presented by the World Affairs Council of Greater Houston on October 14.

Co-chaired by Council CEO Leslie Beyer and Council Chair Emeritus Galen Cobb, VP – Industry Relations, Halliburton, the award will honor bp’s Starlee Sykes, Senior VP Gulf of Mexico & Canada, and Alistair Vickers, CEO, bp Wind Energy as the 2021 International Citizens of the Year.

“We’re pleased to recognize Starlee and Al as two of the energy industry’s most influential leaders in Houston. In both renewable and hydrocarbon energy development, they have each built a lasting impact on our community and beyond.”

The award was named for the late philanthropists Jesse H. Jones and Mary Gibbs Jones. The couple was responsible for creating the largest private foundation in Texas.
