Energy Workforce & Technology Council released the following statement regarding President Biden’s decision to release oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve:
“We appreciate the Biden Administration recognizing that rising fuel prices are a significant threat to the U.S. economy, however a release from the SPR will only be a short-term fix. The current energy crisis is a result of misguided energy policies that raise the cost of fuel and discourage U.S. energy production. The Biden Administration should embrace energy policies that spur the production of the cleanest and most reliable energy in the world, to ensure America maintains energy independence and security,” Energy Workforce & Technology Council CEO Leslie Beyer said.
