Engagement Committee Sets Goals for 2021

Led by new chair Shanta Eaden, Director, Global IT Project Management Office, Weatherford, the PESA Engagement Committee recently updated its mission, and established goals and objectives for 2021.

The committee’s business included updating the name to Inclusion & Diversity Engagement Committee to reflect its work promoting equality throughout the OFS sector.

The new mission statement reads:

“The Inclusion & Diversity Engagement Committee fosters inclusion and diversity within the PESA culture, Member Companies and in the industry. The committee collaborates on ways to strategically empower qualified women and underrepresented groups in leadership positions.”

The committee’s goals and objectives for 2021 include:

  • Increasing exposure of I&D initiatives through award nominations and published articles.
  • Completing and publicizing results of the I&D survey, which PESA is conducting with Accenture beginning in February.
  • Forming a subcommittee to update PESA’s diversity toolkit based on results from the I&D survey.
  • Adding seminars and training sessions outside the first-of-its-kind, year-long I&D Business Champion Program.

The committee reviewed its initiatives in 2020, including the work of the Racial Equality Working Groups, and updates to the 2021 I&D Business Champion Program. This year’s program will be facilitated by the Envision Group and will include executive coaching.

Registration is still open for the 2021 Inclusion & Diversity Business Champion Program.

To get involved with the committee or participate in the upcoming I&D survey, please contact PESA Vice President Strategy and Programs Molly Determan.
