Executive Leadership Program Discusses Engaging Leadership

Engaging Leadership, May 13, 2021More than 70 participants from 20 different companies reconvened last week for the second seminar of the Executive Leadership: Engaging Leadership program. The Council hosted three separate sessions, including those in the Middle East and Permian regions.

The 2021 Executive Leadership Program, which launched February 23, provides an opportunity for high-potential personnel to engage in a structured year-long program that develops leadership skills in preparation for future roles. The Engaging Leadership course focuses on identifying strategies to create a collaborative, resilient workplace. Attendees develop strong communication methods and explore the difference between being a leader and a boss.

Pat Lipovski, Founder & CEO, Envision Group, led the seminars with co-facilitators from Envision Group, an innovative global leader in corporate advising and coaching. The seminars were held virtually and included breakout sessions that provided opportunities for small group coaching and feedback.

As part of the Executive Leadership Program, participants engage in leadership development outside their company and attend two Council Leadership Meetings, such as the bimonthly Leadership Forums. One of the most important elements of the program is the mentorship provided by Council Board and Advisory Board Members, which give participants a unique opportunity to gain strategic career advice and develop valuable relationships with industry leaders.

Participants from each track of the Executive Leadership Program are scheduled to join their counterparts from the other sessions at a quarterly networking event June 8. They meet again virtually in the fall for the third and fourth seminars that will encourage networking and further dialogue.
