“America’s energy renaissance isn’t brought to you by Big Oil.”
“That’s the message the American Petroleum Institute sent Tuesday, as it released a report documenting the nearly 30,000 businesses across the nation that supply the oil and gas industry with equipment and services” reported FuelFix.
The U.S. oil and natural gas industry supports almost 30,000 companies within the industry’s supply chain, according to an American Petroleum Institute report released Tuesday. The industry has also maintained nearly 10 million jobs within the last three years and has accounted for almost 8% of domestic economic activity, the report said.
Erik Milito, API’s upstream director, said the report illustrates “the true breadth and scope of the industry’s positive impact throughout the country.”
