Pennsylvania: Proposed Legislation Will Require Drillers to Disclose Landowner Liability

Upstream Conventional & Unconventional Onshore Development

State Senator Stewart J. Greenleaf (R) reintroduced legislation at the beginning this month to amend the Pennsylvania Oil and Gas Act. Senate Bill 53 requires drilling companies to disclose to landowners that they may be liable to other landowners for damages that result from drilling activities.

Greenleaf previously introduced this legislation during the state’s prior General Assembly.
