PESA Announces New Vice President, Ryan Bowley

The Petroleum Equipment & Services Association (PESA) announced today that Ryan Bowley will serve as the group’s Vice President Operations & External Affairs.

Bowley was most recently Director of Government Affairs with the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA), leading all government affairs efforts for the national trade association of small business owners in the trucking industry, including the development and execution of policy, advocacy, public affairs, and political strategies. Hailing not far from Titusville, Pennsylvania and the birthplace of the American energy industry, Bowley’s career includes 12 years in Washington, D.C.  During this time he advised two members of the U.S. House and served as an advocate on freight, environmental, energy, and hazardous materials issues before Congress and the Executive Branch for trade associations, corporations, and other organizations.

Bob Moran, Vice President Government and External Affairs at Halliburton and PESA Policy Chairman, stated, “At this critical time for the industry and under Leslie Beyer’s leadership, PESA is growing much stronger in support of the oilfield service and supply sector.  With his detailed knowledge of many key issues in the oilfield, the addition of Ryan Bowley to PESA’s leadership team will drive even more benefit for our member companies and the sector.”

PESA is also pleased to announce the promotion of Molly Smart to Vice President Communications & Member Relations reflecting her service to the organization.  “I would like to congratulate Molly Smart on her expanded role within the association,” said PESA President Leslie Beyer.  “She has been a critical part of the evolution of PESA and we are incredibly fortunate to have her on our team.”  Smart has served as PESA’s Director of Communications since 2013 and led PESA’s recent rebranding.

Prior to joining PESA, Smart provided private PR consulting services across multiple industries and held senior positions with the Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama.  In these roles, Smart won regional and national awards for publications and marketing campaigns.

“The experience, knowledge, and skills of Ryan and Molly will be critical as PESA continues to evolve,” said Beyer.  “Both bring a strong capability to find new ways to promote, advocate for, and serve our member companies,” said Beyer.
