PESA Committee Briefings at Annual Meeting

annual meeting committees

At the 2017 PESA Annual Meeting next month, select committees will conduct briefings in order to educate additional members on current activities, recruit new members and solicit feedback for ways the committees can deliver additional benefits.

PESA Committees manage a range of programs designed to educate, empower and elevate sector professionals and collective member companies. Active engagement with PESA committees is an opportunity for professionals at all levels and their companies to show leadership, network with other industry leaders, and gain recognition for helping improve the industry.

Please refer to the full meeting agenda to see specific meeting times.  Below is an overview of the committees and briefings scheduled on April 19 in Marana, AZ.

Committee Briefings Overview

Energy Educators Committee works with the PESA staff to coordinate various educational initiatives and contributions, including support of the IPAA/PESA Energy Education Center and promote STEM education at elementary, secondary and undergraduate levels. The Committee sponsors fundraising activities to raise funds for these efforts.

The Engagement Committee promotes diversity within PESA culture and in the industry. The committee collaborates on ways to strategically place qualified women and people of color in PESA leadership positions.

The International Outposts Subcommittee collaborates on strategies to support PESA Members through chapter meetings in targeted global locations. This includes the Mexico Task Force, which delivers value to PESA members by providing connections with both US/MX stakeholders.

Membership Committee works with PESA staff, Directors, and members to develop and carry out a membership strategy focused on identifying and recruiting new PESA members. The committee is also hosting a new member welcome reception at annual meeting.

The Government Affairs Subcommittee establishes relationships with elected officials and their staff to expand the reach and influence of the service, supply and manufacturing sector message. This group also convenes executives for congressional dialogues and other local events designed to engage and educate policymakers.

The Credit Interchange Division (CID) Operating Committee, oversees a cooperative venture among PESA member companies, facilitating the confidential exchange of up-to-date ledger experience among its member companies and divisions. CID currently maintains a database of over 50,000 ledger entries on nearly 10,000 existing and potential customers. CID provides secure Internet access to its credit database, implementing increased connectivity, functionality and ease of use to those members who utilize CID to assist them in the effective management of their receivables.

Additionally, the Emerging Leaders Committee, which prepares high performing individuals for their role as the next generation of industry leaders, will host a happy hour for young professionals at the start of annual meeting.  The Emerging Leaders develop events and training seminars, including Leadership Forums, the Executive Leadership Year-Long Program, and the Executive Address Series.

All Annual Meeting attendees are encouraged to attend the briefings Wednesday afternoon, April 19. Download the full meeting agenda.
