Explorers of Houston Golf Tournament 1st Place Team: Keith Barnard, Forum Energy Technologies; Stuart Spears, MRC Global, Greg Peterson, MRC Global, and Lance Lorance, MRC Global

On March 1, PESA hosted its 19th Annual Explorers of Houston Golf Tournament. PESA members and customers gathered at the Golf Club of Houston for a day of networking and friendly competition. With proceeds supporting the education initiatives including the Offshore Energy Center and the IPAA/PESA Petroleum Academies, the event’s strong turnout demonstrates PESA members’ dedication to education.

Chauviere kicked off the tournament by welcoming attendees and thanking the teams entered in the tournament. Competing in a shamble, the Forum Energy Technologies team placed first with a score of 104: Keith Barnard, Forum Energy Technologies; Stuart Spears, MRC Global, Greg Peterson, MRC Global, and Lance Lorance, MRC Global. The Energy Alloys team followed in second place with a score of 105: Kenny Duke, Energy Alloys; Andy Warren, Energy Alloys;  Jason Ward, Superior; Bob Gibbens, United Machine. The NOV team finished in third place with a score of 112: Scott Livingston, NOV; Brad James, Enterprise Offshore Drilling; Kevin Chapman, NOV; Jason McGuire, Parker Hannifin Corporation.

Individual winners were: Dwight Gross, IronGate Energy Services, Closest to the Pin in 2; Don Bishop, Arnco Technology, Straightest Drive; Beau Beason, DistributionNOW, Longest Drive; Carroll Hall, Gardner Denver, closest to the pin with a hole-in-one. Marco Vigueras, Throne Petroleum, was the winner of the fish bowl raffle for four rounds of golf on the tournament course.

The tournament allowed PESA member companies and customers to cultivate relationships, and was also great practice for those competing in the golf tournament at PESA’s upcoming Annual Meeting on April 26 in Greensboro, GA.
