PESA HR Professionals Promote Industry Best Practices

The PESA Human Resources Committee holds bi-monthly roundtable events educating PESA member companies on the various trends, challenges and solutions affecting global HR departments and promotes PESA training opportunities within member companies. The roundtables also encourage open dialogue, connecting PESA members to discuss topics including benefits, competency management, shared services and global mobility.

The most recent HR Roundtable, held on August 24 at Mays Business Center, focused on Total Rewards.  Members of the Willis Towers Watson team shared their perspectives on short term practical guidance and long term considerations as the market recovers. The discussion provided valuable insight on best practices and management for an ever changing industry.

The HR Committee, which includes Committee Chairman Dave Warnick, Weir Oil & Gas; Susan Webb, FMC Technologies; Loretta Bersani, GE Oil & Gas; David Darling, Gulfmark; Melissa Calhoun, Halliburton; Terry Woodall, Oil States Energy Services and Lorraine Mah, Schlumberger, has organized an upcoming HR Seminar to encourage best practices through this transitional period.

The seminar, scheduled for October 12, highlights future human capital trends, requirements and needs. Industry leaders will share their expertise through an integration panel, a customer panel with Chevron, BP and Oasis Petroleum and HR expectations from the CEO perspective with PESA Advisory Board Member Chuck Davison, President & CEO at FairfieldNodal. All PESA committees manage a range of programs designed to educate, empower and elevate sector professionals and collective member companies. Active engagement with PESA committees, like HR, is an opportunity for professionals at all levels and their companies to show leadership, network with other industry leaders and gain recognition for helping improve the industry.
