PESA Network for African American & Black Employees (PESA NAABE) Launches Survey

As part of PESA’s Inclusion and Diversity efforts, the Association is launching a survey assessing interest and availability in the PESA Network for African American & Black Employees (PESA NAABE). The purpose of this employee resource group will be to promote an equitable experience for Black and African Americans and to generate change and awareness throughout the energy industry and our surrounding communities. PESA Members who participate in this sector-wide cross organization will have opportunities to collaborate on ways to foster a diverse, inclusive workplace aligned with the organizations they serve within the oilfield services sector.

Earlier this year, PESA’s Racial Equality Task Force developed an action plan committing to embrace actions that will drive a level of accountability in our cultures above and beyond current efforts toward diversity, inclusion, and equality. Part of this commitment included creating working groups, one of which focused on organizing a Black and African American employee and ally resource group. The working group — consisting of representatives from DistributionNOW, TechnipFMCWeatherford, and WIKA Group — developed PESA NAABE and is requesting feedback to help in the development of the resource group.

PESA Members interested in PESA NAABE are asked to provide feedback by completing the survey by December 2. Questions about the survey or the group itself can be sent to Group Lead, Lamonica Spivey.
