PESA Recognizes Graduates, Mentors of 2019 Executive Leadership Program

30320A0080On January 29, PESA honored graduates of the 2019 Executive Leadership Program at a reception held at Exterran. PESA Board and Advisory Board Members, company leaders, mentors, coaches and graduates gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of more than 50 graduates of the year-long program. The entire evening began with networking among these groups of high-level individuals.

The program – PESA’s forward-thinking talent management tool – provides an opportunity for developing leadership skills at the highest level.

Following a networking reception, PESA Board Member Andrew Way, President & CEO, Exterran, congratulated graduates on their accomplishment and shared his observation on the largest Executive Leadership Program graduating class to date.

[su_quote cite=”Andrew Way, President & CEO, Exterran”]“This large class is something to be encouraged about, considering what we have all gone through in 2019. This is an incredible testament to the leadership of the companies who have put people through this program. When I think about the day-to-day tasks that we have on our end, every day we are making trade-offs on where we focus and how we think about allocating goals, and it’s wonderful to see so many companies continue to invest in leadership.”[/su_quote]

When touching upon the immensely positive feedback he’s received on the program, Way remarked he was able to witness the meaningful relationships that were forged first-hand between those who participated in it.

Participants shared what they had gained from the program, which has graduated more than 300 participants in the last five years.

[su_quote cite=”Adam Hunt, Sales Manager, Exploration, Mustang Cat”]“This program was a great networking opportunity but it also had great takeaways, like my individual coaching with my mentor. One of the things that sets this program apart from other training programs is the follow-up this program keeps you working at. I became better at active listening, and I learned some very helpful tips and tricks thanks to my mentor that I can keep utilizing even after the program is complete.” [/su_quote]

[su_quote cite=”Jarret Moore, Strategic Sales Executive, DistributionNOW “]“This is my first experience with any kind of PESA development program and when my leadership presented this to me, I wanted to jump at the chance to be with other like-minded individuals, but it turned out to have so many more takeaways. From the coaching sessions to my accountability partner, I found so much value. The one-on-one sessions allowed me to set out some good future plans and having my partner forced me to step my own game up in the program.“ [/su_quote]

[su_quote cite=”Chelsea Power, General Manager, NOV “]“The first thing that comes to my mind when thinking about what I’ve taken away from this course is the expanded network I have gained. We have all been through challenging situations while managing change or a challenging employee, or having the feeling of being overwhelmed. We received tools from this program to help deal with these situations but the most important tool has been the camaraderie and commonality we have built with the peers, as well as with our mentors and coaches.” [/su_quote]
