PESA’s Executive Leadership Participants Continue Progress Towards Graduation

Executive Leadership Program Fall SeminarsParticipants of PESA’s highly regarded Executive Leadership Program (ELP) came together this week in virtual sessions to continue work on the structured year-long program to develop leadership skills in preparation for the responsibilities of future roles as industry executives. The program, now in its sixth year, has its largest group to date with more than 90 participants.

The ELP offers three different paths that allow to participants to focus on specific aspects of leadership. The tracks include:

  • Advanced Business Development, which helps participants develop the skills, behaviors and confidence to address client needs and develop long-term relationships.
  • Engaging Leadership, which focuses on identifying strategies to create a collaborative and resilient workplace by helping participants develop stronger communication methods and explore the difference between being a leader and a boss.
  • Strategic & Branded Executive, which offers participants tools to enhance their executive brand and presence, and equips them with techniques, processes and skills to guide an organization to its full potential.

Executive Leadership Program Fall SeminarsDuring the virtual seminars this week, the full cohort met for a brief review of the program so far and then broke into smaller groups to delve further into their specific path’s content.

Throughout the year, the group has been able to meet through PESA’s remote events, townhalls and tailored networking sessions. The move to virtual was well-received by participants, who have appreciated being able to access the program despite travel restrictions, as well as the greater flexibility the remote format has allowed.

Along with group virtual events, participants have met with accountability partners, executive coaches, and mentors from the PESA Board and Advisory Board and accountability partners.

Executive Leadership Program Fall SeminarsParticipants continued to engage in thought-provoking discussion and shared their experiences and best practices during the sessions.

“These tools work together in amazing ways,” said one Engaging Leadership participant. “With the duel impact of the current conditions in the oil and gas industry coupled with the pandemic, this really helped me get through these days not just personally but professionally.”
