Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA-3) recently joined PESA and M&M International for a tour of the company’s facilities in Broussard, LA.

The tour included demonstrations of M&M’s manufacturing capabilities, as well as an overview of the services that the company provides to both onshore and offshore production companies, and the significant employment and economic effect the energy services and equipment sector provides to the third congressional district of Louisiana. Following the tour, M&M International hosted a town hall with employees, where issues such as tariffs and LNG exports were discussed.

PESA Advisory Board Member Quay McKnight, Chairman of the Board, and Johnson McKnight, CEO, welcomed Rep. Higgins to the facility, which is a family-run business providing significant highly skilled employment to the district. M&M International is an original equipment manufacturer specializing in valves utilized during the exploration, completion and production of oil and natural gas wells.

Congressman Higgins spent well over an hour touring the facility, meeting with the employees and learning about the products produced there.

“M&M International produces high-quality, durable equipment that makes American energy production possible. The oil and gas industry and energy services industry support millions of jobs across the country and are a critical part of Louisiana’s economy,” Congressman Higgins said.

“I’m honored to serve hard-working Americans like those at M&M International’s Broussard facility. We will continue working alongside President Trump at the federal level to promote American energy dominance and grow our economy.”

PESA has held six congressional facility tours this year, including:

  • Rep. Sylvia Garcia (D-TX-29) at Baker Hughes, a GE company
  • Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX-10) at BJ Services
  • Rep. Brian Babin (R-TX-36) at DistributionNOW
  • Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK-4) at Kerr Pumps
  • Rep. Kendra Horn (D-OK-5) at Kimray
  • Rep. Kevin Hern (R-OK-1) at Gardner Denver

PESA companies that have facilities and would like to host an event, contact PESA Vice President Government Affairs Tim Tarpley. PESA is especially looking to expand the geographic diversity of these tours, including Colorado, New Mexico and the Northeast.
