EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP PROGRAM: INTEGRATED LEADERSHIP: LEADING WITH INFLUENCE, AGILITY & ACCOUNTABILITY

The sold-out Executive Leadership- Integrated Leadership Program kicked off this week led by Advisory Board Member Doug Orr, Partner and Laura Gironda, Principal, Heidrick & Struggles. The program gives participants the skills needed to lead their teams and organizations and provides them with the tools to become intentional and accountable leaders.

Molly Determan, President, Energy Workforce & Technology Council, delivered the opening remarks by welcoming participants and giving an overview of what participants could expect from the program.

60 participants, joining both in person and virtually, were given the opportunity to engage in discussions with their peers, network with fellow leaders, and gain knowledge on how to become effective leaders.

Participants also discussed influential leaders and mentors. They shared what influential leaders and mentors in their careers have done to impact them and the characteristics that each leader held. By sharing their personal experiences with leaders and mentors, participants also learned how to adopt these traits and become effective mentors themselves.

“My mentor believed in me and gave me a chance. As I was transitioning between roles, he gave me the opportunity to demonstrate my skills and prove myself when no one else did.”

– Participant

In addition to the seminars for these yearlong programs, participants engage in leadership development activities outside their company. They also attend at least two Energy Workforce leadership meetings, such as leadership forums, where participants engage and network with energy leaders from across the industry. The program includes executive coaching from Heidrick & Struggles as well as valuable mentorship from members of the Energy Workforce’s Board of Directors and Advisory Board. This gives participants a unique opportunity for strategic career advice and to develop relationships with industry leaders.
