Council CEO Leslie Beyer joined the Reuters podcast “The Insider” recently to discuss Biden Administration’s energy policies, and the role of an oil and gas industry that’s facing increased global demand.
“We’re able to produce oil and natural gas cleaner here, with fewer emissions, than anywhere in the world. To see the Administration ask OPEC+ to produce more is entirely counterintuitive to its stated environmental goals. The U.S. could see a spike in prices like in Europe if the Biden Administration doesn’t reverse course. We need to let the men and women of our industry do what they do best.”
