Unlocking Business Potential: Energy Workforce Hosts Interactive Seminar on Financial Mastery

Energy Workforce recently hosted an interactive seminar, Building Business Acumen, with Franklin Covey, to give employees C-level insights into how an organization runs so they can align their efforts to the company’s business goals and maximize its bottom line.

Led by Senior Consultant Cris Lang, the seminar provided tools and strategies for enhancing financial literacy, strategic decision-making, and understanding key business concepts like cash flow, margin, profitability, and more. Participants expressed varied goals, from mastering basic financial terminology to making informed business decisions.

Getting a more comprehensive, total picture of the business is what I am looking for. I’d like to better understand how what we all do in the company impacts our overall financial health.”

-Program Participant

Interactive group exercises, case studies, and discussions allowed attendees to apply their learning to real-world scenarios, fostering collaboration and deeper understanding. The seminar also covered “The 5 Essential Elements of a Business,” clarified annual reports, and explored income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Participants left with actionable insights and access to a wealth of on-demand resources, including micro-courses, articles, videos, and online mini mentor sessions. Energy Workforce extends gratitude to Strategic Partners Chevron, Patterson-UTI, and SLB for their support.
