2026 Safety Awards Highlight Industry Excellence & Innovation

Energy Workforce & Technology Council (EWTC) is proud to recognize the companies and teams advancing safety across the energy services industry through its 2026 Safety Awards. Presented October 1 at the State of Energy Services Conference in Midland, Texas, the awards recognize member companies that are raising the bar for safety across the energy services sector.

The annual Safety Awards Luncheon, sponsored by SLB, is a highlight of EWTC’s commitment to promoting a culture where safety is more than a priority. It is a fundamental standard of operational excellence.

Thank you to EWTC Immediate Past Chair Sam Sledge, CEO and Director of ProPetro, for presenting this year’s awards. EWTC also extends its appreciation to the luncheon’s table sponsors.

  • Key Energy Services
  • Liberty Energy
  • ProFrac
  • Ranger Energy Services

EWTC’s annual awards recognize member companies for their safety performance, measured by Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) and categorized by annual exposure hours. Companies that reduce their incident rates by 25% or more from the previous year are also eligible for the President’s Award.

This year’s program also highlighted innovative approaches to safety through four video submission categories: Innovation in Safety and Design for Safety, Human Performance in Action, Failing Safely and Learning Forward, and Frontline Engagement and Empowerment. These submissions showcased practical strategies, lessons learned, and frontline leadership that help strengthen safety culture across the industry.
