Argentina’s Vaca Muerta region continues to create opportunities for energy technology and services companies, and EWTC members will have an opportunity to explore that market firsthand through the upcoming Energy Trade Mission during AOG 2026 happening October 18–22 in Neuquén, Argentina.
Last week, the Argentina-Texas Chamber of Commerce (ATCC) hosted a webinar where industry leaders provided an inside look at the upcoming five-day mission, including its objectives, agenda, networking opportunities and what companies can expect from participating. The discussion featured ATCC Energy Committee President Diego de la Vega, Transeparation Founder and CEO Federico Gayoso, EWTC President Tim Tarpley, DPI – Del Plata Ingeniería New Business Development Director Federico C., and ATCC corporate sponsor and former mission delegate Samy Goldsztayn. During the webinar, Tarpley emphasized the opportunities developing in Vaca Muerta and the importance of energy security, technology leadership, supply chain resilience, and long-term investment.
Argentina represents an important market for energy technology and services companies. The Vaca Muerta region has become a major driver of Argentina’s oil and natural gas growth, creating demand for the technologies, equipment and expertise that many EWTC member companies provide. EWTC’s Latin America Chapter also provides a platform for companies already operating in the region while helping companies evaluate and enter new international markets.
The mission is being organized by ATCC and will take place during AOG 2026, one of the region’s leading oil and gas events.
The agenda is designed around direct business engagement, including:
- B2B matchmaking with operators, service companies and technology providers,
- Meetings with government and industry leaders,
- Technical visits to operations in the Vaca Muerta region,
- Networking opportunities with Argentina and U.S. energy professionals,
- Access to AOG 2026, which is expected to bring together more than 400 exhibitors and 17,000 energy professionals, and
- Opportunities to better understand the commercial environment and identify potential partnerships in the region.
The mission also builds on EWTC’s ongoing efforts to support members across Latin America. EWTC has partnered with ATCC and other organizations throughout the year to connect U.S. energy companies with opportunities in Argentina and help members navigate international markets.
