The Executive Leadership Program, sponsored by the Emerging Executives Committee, kicked off on February 23. The program enters its seventh year of providing a structured year-long program that helps participants develop leadership skills needed for current and future roles.
Held virtually, the 2021 program includes more than 100 individuals from around the world.
“With more than 500 program participants from 60 leading companies in its first six years, the Energy Workforce & Technology Council continues to elevate the industry by investing in the next generation of industry leaders,” said Council COO Molly Determan. “The Executive Leadership Program has become an essential tool in member company professional development strategies.”
Pat Lipovski of Envision Group, an innovative global leader in corporate advising and coaching, led the seminars.
Course Objectives
The Advanced Business Development course helps participants develop the skills, behaviors and confidence to address client needs and develop long-term relationships. The training gives participants a range of business development and sales techniques to adopt a confident consultative and solutions-based approach when selling.
The Engaging Leadership course focuses on identifying strategies to create a collaborative, resilient workplace. Attendees develop strong communication methods and explore the difference between being a leader and a boss.
The Strategic & Branded Executive course offers leaders and high-potential executives the tools to enhance their executive brand and presence, and equips leaders with strategic planning tools, processes, and skills to guide any size organization to its true potential.
Leadership Development
In addition to the seminars, participants engage in leadership development outside their company. They also attend at least two Energy Workforce leadership meetings, such as leadership forums. The program includes valuable mentorship from members of the Council’s Board of Directors and Advisory Board Members. This gives participants a unique opportunity for strategic career advice and to develop relationships with industry leaders.
The Council launched Engaging Leadership Program tracks this week dedicated to the Permian and the Middle East.
Due to the recent winter storms throughout Texas, many were unable to register for the Engaging Leadership Program. The Council is opening registration for a second offering beginning April 14 for those who were unable to register.
