Energy Workforce Celebrates 27th Annual Explorers of Houston Golf Tournament

On March 5, the Energy Workforce & Technology Council hosted its 27th Annual Explorers of Houston Golf Tournament at the Golf Club of Houston, bringing members together for a day of networking and relationship building. The turnout reflects the industry’s commitment to advancing the oilfield services and equipment sector, as proceeds from the tournament support education initiatives on its behalf. 

Energy Workforce Board Member Steven Anderson, President & CEO of Evolution Well Services, welcomed attendees and thanked the teams that entered the tournament.

Competing in a scramble, the first-place team included Daniel Boone, Nathan Boone, Richard Leaper and Matt Garner all from Milestone Environmental Services. 

The second-place team included Dustin Hafernick, Flotek Industries, Jesse Carrasco, ProFrac Services, Thomas Sodhi, Sterling Specialty Chemicals and Tristen Sodhi, Halliburton. 

The third-place award went to Travis Lathram, Scott Miller, Ladd Grammer, and Heath Lynch, all from Halliburton. 

Steven Anderson and Tim Tarpley, President, Energy Workforce & Technology Council, presented the awards. Individual winners were: 

Straightest Drive: Miles Cobb – Stewart & Stevenson 

Closest to the Pin: Andrew Stoler, Accenture 

Closest to the Pin in 2: Heath Lynch, Halliburton 

Longest Drive: Tristen Sodhi – Halliburton 

The Houston Golf Club giveaway winner was Phillip Hill, Caterpillar.
