Energy Workforce Strengthens Engagement Through Louisiana Chapter

On July 26, Energy Workforce relaunched the Louisiana Chapter with a steering committee meeting in Lafayette, LA to discuss the scope and future plans for the chapter. The chapter will be chaired by Deidre Toups, Superior Energy Services, and Adam Judice, M&M International, will serve as vice chair.

Natchez Chapter Chair Jody Helbling, Energy Drilling Company, has led the reformation of the chapter and future plans will incorporate the chapters working together.

“I look forward to working with the steering committee to grow the chapter, increase engagement and provide support to our Members across Louisiana. This region is vitally important to our sector, and the men and women in the energy workforce are a great asset to our organization and the industry.”

At the meeting, Energy Workforce President Tim Tarpley provided an association overview and discussed the importance of each chapter.

“Our regional and international chapters are incredibly important. Chapters raise money for scholarships, host thought leadership events and help provide the local infrastructure to support our advocacy efforts. Louisiana is essential to our nation’s energy and economic security, and I am very happy to see the chapter flourish.”

The steering committee will focus on regional outreach to members and foster connections with possible new members from the area. The chapter is planning an evening social in October in the Lafayette area to officially kick-off the relaunch and introduce Energy Workforce to the region.

Regional chapters promote Energy Workforce as a resource in that specific area, building strategic relationships with stakeholders and holding regional meetings with executive-level speakers from leading exploration and production companies.
