EWTC Frontline Leadership Training Addresses Trust, Influence & Purpose

Participants from Helmerich & Payne, Kodiak Gas Services, NOV and Superior Energy Services gathered at H&P recently for the year’s final Operations Level Leadership Training. The program, facilitated by Heidrick & Struggles, is a two-day seminar designed to transform managers from individual contributors into effective leaders. Attendees learned about tools, resources and strategies to help develop and refine leadership skills within their roles.

The session was sponsored by Strategic Partners Chevron, Patterson-UTI and SLB.

Over the course of the program, attendees explored topics such as leadership styles, adaptability, personal motivators, and the importance of self-awareness and empathy. Facilitators also guided participants through exercises and discussions that examined key differences between management and leadership while emphasizing the role of values and personal purpose in driving effective leadership.

The program included interactive sessions, such as personality assessments and group exercises, which encouraged collaboration, problem-solving, and networking. Participants also learned strategies to manage emotions and build stronger workplace relationships.

The program wrapped up with group discussions and coaching, and then the participants shared key takeaways from the 2-day session.

“The program was very insightful and motivational, with the focus of the course being on the people in the room, not just one size fits all,” said one participant. Someone else shared, “As relevant as the content is for refining leadership skills and molding new leaders, the content will also make you a better employee in general.”
