Faces of the Energy Workforce: Adam Campbell, Stewart & Stevenson

Adam Campbell, Supervisor, Stewart & Stevenson, is a graduate of the Energy Workforce Operations Leadership Program. He recently shared his insights on the energy services and technology sector.

ENERGY WORKFORCE: What is your role with the company? What are your core responsibilities? What does a typical day look like?

ADAM CAMPBELL: As a Supervisor, I maintain a steady flow of work to make sure the product is delivered on the target date and parts are supplied to the line to keep production going.

EW: What individual has been most instrumental in helping with your career? What did their mentorship look like and how did it guide your path?

AC: Marcus Rodriguez taught me all the fundamentals of being a supervisor.

EW: What was your impression of the industry beforehand and how has it evolved?

AC: I always wanted to get into the oilfield industry. It’s come a long way in the past 12 years.

EW: Who are one or two individuals you’ve met while working in the industry who have impacted your thinking?

AC: Stephen Beedie, Director of Plant Operations here at Stewart & Stevenson, always has a positive attitude and always wants to improve on work ethics.

EW: What advice would you give someone just getting started in the energy industry?

AC: Learn all that you can and always be open to new ideas, as well as other people’s thoughts and ideas.

EW: What do you do for fun?

AC: I motorcycle and travel.

EW: What’s your idea of a perfect vacation?

AC: Getting on my motorcycle and just going out and enjoying the different geology of the United States.

EW: What’s a fun fact that people would never guess about you?

AC: I was a two-time Ohio State Foosball Champion.
