EWTC’s second Frontline Leadership Program of the year was hosted at ProPetro last week. Led by Heidrick & Struggles, this two-day seminar is designed to help managers transition from individual contributors into confident, effective leaders.
Throughout the program, participants explored how to adapt their leadership approach to different employees and situations, helping them improve communication, strengthen accountability, and lead more effectively in fast-paced operational environments. Participants were able to collaborate on exercises, which in turn helped to reinforce the key concepts over the course of the two days.
One of the most engaging components of the program was the personality assessment participants completed prior to the seminar. The assessment provided valuable insights into both individual behavioral traits and others’ tendencies. By exploring these behavioral styles, participants gained a deeper understanding of how increased self-awareness can enhance communication, strengthen relationships, and improve interactions with teammates.
The program wrapped with the group discussing what drives trust, the art of listening, how inclusion leads to belonging, coaching and feedback.
After the program concluded, the participants were asked to share key takeaways from the two-day course. One member shared, “My greatest takeaway is the importance of active listening, coaching, and asking powerful questions. These skills will help me develop my team, increase accountability and ownership, and improve overall performance, creating value for both the company and me.”
Someone else commented, “I appreciated the tools & resources I was exposed to. This experience will greatly improve my performance at work and at home.”
When asked if the program was worthwhile and would help them in their roles, one leader confirmed, “Absolutely. I wish my entire team could take this course.”
EWTC thanks ProPetro for hosting and Strategic Partners Chevron and SLB for sponsoring the program.
