Members Invited to CERA Week Libya Breakfast, Roundtable

PESA Members are invited to two events during CERA week organized by the Department of Energy and Libyan National Oil Corporation.

The first event is an executive breakfast and roundtable March 9 from 10-11 a.m. at the Hilton-Americas in Houston. Assistant Secretary of Energy for International Affairs Ted Garrish will moderate a discussion with U.S. Secretary of Energy Dan Brouillette and Libyan National Oil Corporation Chairman Mustafa Sanalla on the topics of U.S. engagement with Libya, Libyan investment strategy and commercial opportunities.

The second event is a Capacity Building Roundtable Session on SME Investment in Libya on March 11. PESA’s Vice President Government Affairs Tim Tarpley will speak during the first session, along with guest speakers from the U.S. Department of Energy, Libyan National Oil Corporation, Bilateral U.S. – Arab Chamber of Commerce and Small Business Administration Office of International Trade. Topics will include U.S. procurement and regulations, cost and risk analysis, and contract management strategies.

The second session builds on the dynamics of international marketing, with discussion on international logistics best practices, supply chain dynamics, and cost control and efficiency considerations with guest speakers from the Department of Energy, Libyan NOC, U.S. International Development Finance Corporation and more.
