Members Look to Manage Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Score

As the industry is increasingly under pressure to adopt and implement standards that mitigate environmental challenges, and investors seek to compare companies on their environmental, social and governance criteria, investing in ESG standards is vital.

PESA has formed a new permanent Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Committee that is co-chaired by Jock Pool, Director of Compliance, Oceaneering, and Valerie Banner, Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary, Exterran.

PESA Committees manage programs designed to educate and empower professionals and the collective Member Companies. Engagement in a committee is an opportunity for professionals at all levels to provide leadership and share best practices, network with other leaders on the topic, and gain recognition for helping improve the industry.

The ESG Committee will oversee an industry training program for CDP and other ratings agencies who provide investors with ESG risk scores for individual companies, as well as promote and share best practices through events with expert speakers and panelists.

PESA Members are invited to become part of the committee and the first meeting is set for February 28.

If you or your company would like to become part of this committee or need additional information, please contact Vice President Government Relations Tim Tarpley.
