International Programs Committee to Celebrate 25th Anniversary

Over the past 25 years, Energy Workforce has co-sponsored a Foreign Service Officer Energy Industry Training Session with the U.S. Department of State. The week-long training familiarizes Foreign and Civil Service Officers (FSO) with the oil and gas industry to facilitate informed energy decisions at their embassy posts around the world, specifically in energy-intensive countries. During the course of the program, presentations are delivered by operators, academia and member companies with curriculum developed by the International Programs Committee.

In 2018, Industry and State will come together to celebrate 25 years of educating global energy influencers and promoting positive U.S. partnerships. Several special events will be held including an FSO Alumni event during the week of the Washington D.C. Fly-In and a gala honoring the strong, on-going relationships between Industry and State.

The International Programs Committee brings together members, E&P partner companies and academic organizations to develop a comprehensive FSO training curriculum and delegate company participation for individual training sessions.

The International Programs Committee includes representation from Baker Hughes, a GE Company, Chevron, Conoco Phillips, DistributionNOW, ExxonMobil, NOV, Oceaneering International, Inc., Rice University, Schlumberger and TechnipFMC.
