Rep. Kendra Horn Visits Kimray

IMG_5321Rep. Kendra Horn (D-OK-5) visited PESA Member Company Kimray on May 29. The visit was hosted by Kimray President Bob Cole at the company’s headquarters in Oklahoma City, OK. Kimray CEO Thomas Hill, who is the grandson of Kimray founder Garman Kimmell, was also a part of the tour, which included stops in automation, assembly, manufacturing and the warehouse.

The Congresswoman, who was elected in 2018, was shown a variety of oil and gas control equipment used in the oilfield. During a town hall, Kimray employees asked the Congresswoman questions related to energy prices, taxes and tariffs, among others. Horn assured attendees that she understands the necessity of the oil and gas industry to not only Oklahoma’s success, but also the United States. Horn supports an all-of the-above energy approach that includes development of renewable energy sources along with fossil fuels.

Representatives from Kimray also shared the company’s plans to move the operation to another campus that would allow all operations to be under one roof. The company currently has buildings over a several-block radius near downtown Oklahoma City.

The tour was organized by PESA in partnership with Kimray.
