The Energy Workforce & Technology Council is pleased to announce the expansion of the SecureWell: Well Control Certification Program with the addition of Wild Well Control as a training provider. Building on the proven success of our partner, Vorenkamp Well Control Training, the inclusion of another respected industry training partner will further enhance the program’s growth within the industry.
Building on the proven success of our initial partner, Vorenkamp Well Control Training, the addition of Wild Well marks a significant step forward in SecureWell’s reach and scalability. The inclusion of another respected industry training partner not only increases access to high-quality instruction but also brings the program to new geographic markets and operational hubs across the energy sector.
Wild Well’s reputation for technical excellence and decades of field experience make them an ideal partner for SecureWell’s expansion. Their participation ensures that more companies and even more workers will benefit from consistent, rigorous, and safety-focused training.
We are grateful to Vorenkamp Well Control Training for their efforts in helping us bring this program to life and look forward to their continued partnership. Within the first two years of the program’s implementation, over 1,131 individuals from 29 companies participated, with 149 going on to become assessors.
With additional training opportunities planned in multiple new regions, the SecureWell program is gaining momentum as the industry-preferred certification standard for well control service personnel. The expansion supports Energy Workforce’s ongoing mission to elevate field safety, enhance workforce readiness, and reduce risk across operations.
