The Washington Department of Ecology delivered a report on marine and rail oil transportation to state legislators on December 1. The report outlines several recommendations to better protect public health and safety, including funding for the state’s Spill Prevention, Preparedness and Response Program and modifications to the railroad regulatory fee structure. The final report is expected to be delivered to the Legislature March 1, 2015.
