Energy Workforce’s premier annual event will take place April 26-27 in Austin. With a focus on “Answering the Call: Delivering Through Headwinds,” the lineup of speakers includes operators and leaders from all sectors of the oil and gas industry who will focus on the unique challenges and opportunities presented by the current market and industry dynamics.
Along with signature keynotes, leading industry executives will share an Onshore North America Operators Perspective on how the industry is evolving. Sector experts will provide insights on the annual Capital Markets Panel, and the Business of Carbon Panel will address key energy policy issues.

Julia Gwaltney, SVP & COO, Ranger Oil Corporation: Prior to joining Ranger, Ms. Gwaltney was the Chief Operating Officer for Gary Permian, LLC, from November 2015 to January 2020, where she led the entry into the Delaware Basin and the development of the property. She started her career at Burlington Resources. Julia received her B.S. from Colorado School of Mines and is a registered petroleum engineer.
Steve Pruett, President & CEO, Elevation Resources: Steven H. Pruett is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Elevation Resources LLC, a Permian Basin focused exploration and production company which he co-founded in 2013. Mr. Pruett was previously Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for Concho Resources from 2012-13. Mr. Pruett has over 37 years of oil and gas operating, financial and management experience, most of which has been in the Permian Basin. Mr. Pruett received his B.S in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Mohit Singh, EVP & Chief Financial Officer, Chesapeake Energy Corporation: Mohit Singh was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in December 2021. For the last six years, Mr. Singh has served on the executive leadership team at BPX Energy, the United States onshore subsidiary of BP. Prior to joining BPX, Mr. Singh worked as an investment banker focused on oil and gas transactions for RBC Capital Markets and Goldman Sachs. A chemical engineer by training, he began his career at Shell Exploration & Production Company. Mr. Singh earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston, an MBA from the University of Texas and a BTech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.
MODERATOR: Jim Wicklund, Founder, Wicklund & Associates: Mr. Wicklund retired as Managing Director and Senior Banker in the Energy Group at Stephens Inc. He spent 15 years in the oil and gas industry, working in geophysics, reservoir engineering and operations around the world, living in Australia, Singapore, Milan, London and Houston with Western Geophysical, now part of SLB, Sun Oil Company, McCord-Lewis, and Exploration Consultants Ltd (ECL). He joined the financial services industry as a research analyst covering the Energy sector and was head of energy research and a senior analyst for Rauscher Pierce, Bank of America and Credit Suisse, and spent four years managing an energy portfolio for Carlson Capital. He graduated with a BBA in Finance and Physics from Southern Methodist University.
