Cultivating High-Performing Teams & Cultures Program Highlights Self-Awareness and Intentionality

The Executive Leadership- Integrated Leadership Program hosted its second session last week with a sold-out session facilitated by Heidrick & Struggles, building off its kickoff in March.

The Executive Leadership- Integrated Leadership Program, led by Doug Orr and Laura Gironda, offers participants a year-long lineup of interactive learning, building skills to lead with vision and navigate with influence. The 2025 program includes over 40 participants from a dozen different member companies, with the second session being hosted at Caterpillar. Throughout the program, participants have the opportunity to network, learn and meet fellow leaders from the energy services sector while engaging in hands-on learning and critical thinking activities.

During the second session, Orr and Gironda walked participants through effective delegation and how leaders become more effective with a set of tips and notes ranging from knowing what to delegate to concluding with reward recognition. The group also spent time understanding how good communication on why certain tasks or projects matter to the broader company goals helps teams align. Finally, participants took part in a reflective exercise designed to explore the impact of team dynamics on individual experiences within an organization. The session concluded with a prompt from Orr and Gironda, encouraging attendees to consider how they can foster leadership growth within their teams.

The Integrated Leadership Program is the second tier of the Leadership Programs offered by Energy Workforce, alongside Level 3: Cultivating High-Performing Teams and Cultures and  Level 1: Frontline Leadership.
