Energy Workforce Hosts Roundtable with Congressman Moran in Kilgore

Last week, Energy Workforce held a roundtable discussion with Congressman Nathaniel Moran (TX-01) at Ranger Energy Services’ facility in Kilgore, Texas. The event brought together several member companies to discuss Haynesville market conditions, the pressing need for permitting reform, and the role oil and gas plays in keeping local economies and supply chains moving.

Members shared firsthand how current permitting delays are putting projects on pause, driving up costs, and complicating long-term planning. The conversation made clear that companies are not just asking for faster approvals. They need a permitting process that is consistent, clear, and built to keep projects moving without unnecessary delays.

The discussion also gave members a chance to discuss the conditions of the Haynesville region. While the basin remains a key source of natural gas production and economic opportunity, member companies emphasized the importance of consistent, forward-looking policies to ensure long-term growth and energy security.

Thank you to our host, Ranger Energy Services, and the members and local leaders who joined us in Kilgore, including Halliburton, Key Energy Services, Kimray, Inc., NOV, ProFrac Services, and Kilgore EDC. We’re grateful to Congressman Moran and his team for taking the time to sit down with our members and hear directly from those working in the field.
