HOUSTON— Today, the Energy Workforce & Technology Council released the following statement applauding the Department of the Interior’s action to support increased oil and gas production on federal lands.
“We applaud Secretary Burgum’s action to support increased oil and gas production on federal lands. America’s incredible oil and natural gas resources play a critical role in U.S. energy dominance and are essential to meeting growing demand at home and abroad,” said EWTC President Tim Tarpley. “These natural resources also support the strength and growth of the U.S. energy workforce, sustaining high-quality jobs, advancing technology, and reinforcing the reliability of our energy system.”
Tarpley added that modernizing federal policies to reflect today’s operational realities is essential to maintaining U.S. competitiveness and ensuring the responsible development of domestic energy resources.
