Last week, EWTC President Tim Tarpley joined a Texas Trade Delegation to Istanbul, engaging with government, diplomatic, and private-sector leaders to strengthen international energy and investment partnerships.
The group was led by Jason Fuller with Straife Global Risk Management and Hyperfocal Communications. The delegation discussed Turkey’s desire to import more US LNG to fuel their growing economy and the desire to partner with US energy service firms on supply chain especially in regards to steel and aluminum supply chain.
Key Highlights from the Trade Delegation:
- Investment Growth: Met with the Investment Office of the Presidency of Turkey to discuss expanding collaboration in energy, infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing.
- Business Diplomacy: Partnered with the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEİK) and executives from Sabancı Holding and Sabancı Climate Technologies to explore private-sector growth and long-term energy development.
- U.S. Advocacy: At the U.S. Consulate General in Istanbul, discussions focused on supporting U.S. companies abroad and advancing policies that enhance global competitiveness.
These meetings underscore the critical role of international cooperation in securing a stable energy future and robust industrial relationships.
EWTC is committed to expanding global opportunities for our members and the U.S. energy services sector. A similar delegation will be coming to Houston in May from Turkey and EWTC will invite interested EWTC members to participate.
