How can the energy industry prepare workers for the challenges ahead and make effective training available wherever energy is produced?
At Gastech, EWTC President Tim Tarpley joined leaders from industry and academia to discuss how energy companies, universities and trade schools can work together to build workforce competency. EWTC programs such as SecureWell and Field Operations, along with the upcoming Rig Operator Certification, use real-world scenarios to help workers apply what they learn beyond the classroom.
The panel also explored how VR and other immersive technologies could bring this kind of technical training to more workers across the globe.
