Biden Administration Officials to Debate Oil & Gas Issues in 2023 Budget

This week representatives from the Departments of State, Energy, Interior and EPA are set to testify on the Biden Administration’s proposed fiscal year 2023 budget for their respective agencies. The U.S. Senate and House of Representatives will hold several hearings on Capitol Hill this week, where Members of Congress will have the opportunity to question these representatives on the proposals outlined in each budget. 

Questions around the federal lands leasing program, methane regulations, energy exports and infrastructure permitting are sure to be at the top of many Congressional Members lists. Below is a rundown of the hearing times and links to the live streams.   

April 28 | 9 a.m. ET: Secretary Deb Haaland testifies at the House Appropriations Interior-Environment Subcommittee hearing on the fiscal 2023 budget for the Interior Department.

April 28 | 10 a.m. ET: Secretary Jennifer Granholm testifies at the House Energy and Commerce Energy Subcommittee hearing on the fiscal 2023 budget for the Energy Department.

April 28 | 1 p.m. ET: Secretary Antony Blinken testifies at the House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on the fiscal 2023 budget for the State Department.

April 28 | 2:30 p.m. ET: Secretary Jennifer Granholm testifies at the House Appropriations Energy-Water Subcommittee hearing on the fiscal 2023 budget request for the Energy Department.

April 29 | 9 a.m. ET: Administrator Michael Regan testifies at the House Appropriations Interior-Environment Subcommittee hearing on the fiscal 2023 budget for the Environmental Protection Agency.
