Building America’s Future: Energy Leaders Tackle U.S. Manufacturing Challenges

Last week, EWTC President Tim Tarpley joined the Cornerstones for Energy Independence panel, “Opportunities in U.S. Manufacturing,” to discuss how the energy sector is positioning itself for long-term growth as global markets, trade policies, and supply chains continue to shift.

Tim noted that while domestic production growth is an important step toward energy security, lasting progress depends on sustainable business models that can withstand policy swings between administrations.

He also highlighted how rising global power demand and ongoing tariff uncertainty are reshaping opportunities for U.S. energy providers, pushing companies to think long-term, stay adaptable, and plan ahead rather than react to changing conditions.

The discussion also touched on workforce development and the challenges small and mid-size companies face in staying competitive as the market continues to change. As the energy sector continues to evolve, maintaining a strong workforce and a stable policy environment will be key to sustaining U.S. manufacturing growth.
