By embracing disruptive technologies, like automation, artificial intelligence and virtual reality, the industry can find real value in digital operations. Participants on the tour were shown demonstrations of the digital plant, which uses automated operations and real-time data systems to create analytics that allow companies to exploit data and make agile business decisions.

Finally, attendees learned how innovation has been applied to worker safety, including how video analytics can improve security, monitor hazard alerts and result in fewer safety incidents.
