Last week, the Executive Leadership Program: Cultivating High-Performing Teams and Cultures, in partnership with Heidrick & Struggles, held its third session. The quarterly interactive program equips individuals with the tools and skills for future corporate leadership roles. The session opened with an overview of program expectations and upcoming events for participants to look forward to.
The group then broke out into breakout sessions, highlighting the impact a positive culture has on a team in the workplace. By emphasizing culture, attendees gain a deeper understanding of how to cultivate a strong environment.
One participant shared their insights, noting how quantifying culture satisfaction is possible but should not be the main focus when discussing culture.
Participants then explored different ways team members can feel driven to do their best. They then moved on to assessing tough situations and strategies to push through setbacks. The group discovered that as leaders, it is essential to have a growth mindset.
“Sometimes my team doesn’t hit their targets, and while that is not an ideal situation, it happens, and it’s okay. What matters most is what my team learns from the situation and how we can grow from there.”
