Energy Workforce & Technology Council President Molly Determan discussed how energy services companies are leading the industry through the energy expansion during a panel at the Women’s Public Leadership Network’s Second Annual National Summit in San Diego.

“There are a lot of misunderstandings about our industry and our sector. We are the technology providers enabling a lower carbon future, and we have the workforce and expertise to deliver energy at scale,” Determan said. “The people best positioned to educate our policymakers and regulators about our industry are the 650,000 men and women of the energy services sector, and it is our privilege to support them in telling their stories.”

Joel Noyes, Hess Corporation, moderated the panel which also included Emily Haggestrom, HBW Resources, and Kristin Westmoreland, American Petroleum Institute.

The panel covered a variety of topics, including energy policies impacting the industry, exciting new innovations and energy technologies being deployed and the importance of women in the energy sector.
