Engaging Leadership Program Discusses Business Development, Strategic Planning

Advanced Business Development Course
Advanced Business Development Participants

The Council hosted its second half-day sessions of the Advanced Business Development and Strategic & Branded Executive tracks of the Executive Leadership Program last week. The structured year-long program, sponsored by the Emerging Executives Committee, helps participants develop leadership skills.

Advanced Business Development

The Advanced Business Development course helps participants develop the skills, behaviors and confidence to address client needs and develop long-term relationships. The training gives participants a range of business development and sales techniques to adopt a confident consultative and solutions-based approach when selling.

Participants discussed results from assessment tools designed to increase self-awareness, improve teamwork, enable effective management, and make conflict more productive.

Strategic & Branded Executive Participants

Strategic & Branded Executive

The Strategic & Branded Executive course helps leaders and high-potential executives enhance their executive brand and presence and gain the strategic planning expertise needed to guide an organization to its true potential.

During this half day session, Lipovski and his team focused on strategic planning, crafting mission and vision statements, and more.

Participants in both sessions had the opportunity to join breakouts for group exercises and discussion.

Leadership Development

Participants from each track of the Executive Leadership Program are scheduled to join their counterparts from the other sessions at a quarterly networking event June 8. They meet again virtually in the fall for the third and fourth seminars that will encourage further dialogue.
