Field Trip to Permian Highlights Member Company Technologies

Permian
U.S. Well Services

Energy Workforce hosted Congressional candidate Wesley Hunt in the Permian Basin last Thursday for three site visits to Member Company facilities. Hunt is the Republican nominee for the newly established Texas 38th Congressional district, and if elected, will represent the vast majority of Houston’s energy corridor. Hunt saw firsthand the sophisticated facilities and talented workforce needed to maintain and support oil and gas production.

The first stop of the day was at the U.S. Well Services e-frac site located near Big Spring, TX. Energy Workforce Advisory Board Member Kyle O’Neill, CEO, led a tour of the site that is home to some of the newest innovations helping to produce energy in a cleaner, more efficient way. Hunt toured the site’s control center, and saw the intricate programs and technologies that are utilized to operate the complex system.

GD Energy Products hosted the second stop of the day, with a tour of their facility and a lunch with the Energy Workforce Permian Basin Chapter. Larry Kerr, CEO, and Randy Clark, Southwest Regional Manager, led Hunt on a tour of their Odessa-based facility that is home their mud pump servicing operation.
