Upstream Conventional & Unconventional Onshore Development
Production has begun to increase in the Haynesville shale formation. Located in eastern Texas and northern Louisiana, and once the top U.S. gas-producing field, the Haynesville shale formation is mostly free of oil and NGLs and therefore insulated from lower oil prices. The formation’s proximity to planned LNG export projects, new power plants in the southeast, and petrochemical facilities along the Gulf Coast is also considered an advantage for development in the Haynesville shale.
