On December 3, a coalition of anti-fracking and environmental groups announced the launch of the “Not One Well” campaign targeting Governor Andrew Cuomo as his administration deliberates a pilot program to permit hydraulic fracturing within the state. The group, which includes the Natural Resources Defense Council, Food & Water Watch, Environmental Advocates and Riverkeeper, are calling on the governor to implement a three- to five-year ban on fracking within the state. The group plans to utilize billboards and social media, as well as organize an anti-fracking rally before the governor’s annual speech on January 7, in order to communicate its objectives.
