New York: Governor Cuomo Facing Pressure for Fracking Decision Following Re-Election


Following his re-election to office, Governor Andrew Cuomo declined to announce his plans for the future of hydraulic fracturing within the state. Instead, Cuomo reasserted that he will wait and consider the results of a New York Department of Health study expected to be released by year’s end.  Advocates on both side of the issue have expressed frustration with the delayed decision.
