Pennsylvania: Researchers Inform Residents on Fracking Impacts

Upstream Conventional & Unconventional Onshore Development

Researchers at Pennsylvania State University are working to provide residents with more information about the development and potential impacts of fracking in their communities. The research team will provide tools that utilize data from the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to update residents on where development is likely to happen in the Marcellus Shale and what impact it will have local infrastructure in the future. The tools are currently being tested in Tioga County, with plans to expand to other parts of Pennsylvania.
