Houston, Texas (PRWEB) April 30, 2015

The Petroleum Equipment & Services Association (PESA) has elected Gary Halverson as chairman, Johan Pfeiffer as vice chairman and Saeid Rahimian as first vice president for the 2015-2016 Board of Directors. The leaders were announced at the PESA Annual meeting on April 24, 2015.
“Since PESA was founded in 1933, our members have evolved with the energy industry, developing new technologies and contributing to exponential job growth,” said Halverson. “In the coming year, I look forward to working with PESA’s board, staff and membership to further the understanding of the vital part the service and supply sector plays in the energy industry.”

Halverson joined Cameron in 1978 and has held numerous management positions throughout his career in the U.S. and overseas. He is currently the president, drilling & production systems and senior vice president of Cameron International. A graduate of Odessa College, he previously served as vice chairman on the executive committee of PESA.

Prior to assuming the role of vice president of Surface Technologies for FMC Technologies Inc., Pfeiffer was vice president of Global Surface Wellhead. He is a graduate of the Swiss Institute of Technology, with a master’s degree in international studies from the University of Pennsylvania’s Lauder Institute and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

Rahimian is the president and chief executive officer of Gardner Denver’s Energy Group, and corporate vice president. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Evansville and a master of science in mechanical engineering from The Ohio State University. In addition, he is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program.

“Under the board’s leadership, PESA is developing a stronger voice for the energy industry’s service, supply and manufacturing organizations,” explained PESA President Leslie Shockley Beyer. “Our member companies’ achievements in job creation, technological innovation and energy security continue to be a critical contribution to the U.S. economy. It has been a pleasure working with outgoing chairman Paul Coppinger and I look forward to continuing this momentum with Gary, Johan and Saeid as we face new challenges and opportunities for our sector of the industry and our members.”

Outgoing Chairman Paul Coppinger, divisional managing director of Weir Oil & Gas, will remain active on the board as immediate past chairman. For the past year, he has worked with PESA to rebrand the organization and expand advocacy efforts on behalf of the membership.
